World Aviation Festival 2024: Living Map's Event Reflections
Last week Living Map exhibited at the World Aviation Festival, with this year’s event taking place at RAI in Amsterdam. We had a fantastic few days meeting existing and potential new customers and partners.
It was exciting to see that clear trends continue to emerge for the digital map market, and it moving forward at pace.
There is certainly a developing and elevated understanding of the broad value a digital wayfinding platform brings to an organisation. This includes its ability to share real-time information that reflects not only the immediate airport environment, but also the broader context of a transport hub within a city’s infrastructure and the seamless passenger journey it supports.
Also evident is the increasing number of meaningful conversations being had about the multiple use cases a digital map platform can deliver to not only a single site with multiple stake holders, but also to a single organisation. The unique structures inherent in aviation will continue to shape how this picture develops for the sector to derive maximum, holistic value from the existence of a single map platform.
This picture is developing rapidly as value is demonstrated within ecosystems and across business functions as the digital map's role morphs from a pure wayfinding tool to a platform and data source for our clients by driving operational, data informed change.
Driving much of this conversation is a clear move toward increasingly useful and dynamically available live source data. This, in our view, has always been the direction, albeit now less siloed, and happily, this trend is continuing to develop with many conversations reflecting the importance and availability of data to enhance a fundamental and increasingly valuable passenger digital interaction platform.
Aligned with this is the volume of partnership conversations and opportunities that are driving the multi-media platform offer, critical interaction touch points and the long envisaged seamless passenger journey, as it marches towards reality.
Finally, it is good to see Living Map's cross-industry experience and client relationships proving valuable to the transport industry in informing a less industry-centric view of the passenger journey, shared common challenges and our drive to provide user friendly solutions with world beating and intuitive UX provided by our platform.
